We got our colocated machine back, and I’m now attempting to turn
it into our new office server. The poor thing is a bit ill though,
it’s one of those Abit dual-celeron boards and keeps going strange.
The latest weird thing is for it to not reboot, or to deny the
existance of any graphics card.

At the same time I’m turning our old office server into a firewall.
And to compound things I took my workstation apart to test broken
graphics cards.

I’ve now managed to make ISAPnP, ISDN, and LILO work and know more
about the way your PC’s BIOS mishandles booting devices than I
thought existed.

During the weekend I went for a ride on my bike and ended up
trying to ride through a peat-bog, which is quite impossible and
involved me sinking up to my shins in thick ooze.

Sometime, this site will get updated.

*fzzt!*

It must be national ‘dead hardware’ day. Both my diskdrive and my network card went to Silicon Heaven.

I also had the misfortune of watching ‘Mission To Mars’. It’s not very good.

I’m writing this on my Palm! I’ve got it connected to my firewall through a Hotsync cable. AvantGO’s browser works as an online browser, too. I’ll put up some documentation about this soon.
